The Third BRICS SAIs Leaders Meeting was convened by the SAI of India in New Delhi on October 10, 2022. Zhang Ke, Deputy Auditor General of the National Audit Office of China, attended the meeting and made a speech. Girish Chandra, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Bruno Dantas, President of the Tribunal de Contas da Uni?o of Brazil, Tsakani Maluleke, Auditor-General of South Africa, and Galina Izotova, Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, also participated in the meeting.
The New Delhi Declaration of the Third BRICS SAIs Leaders Meeting and the Work Plan of BRICS SAIs Cooperation in 2023-2024 were adopted at the meeting. BRICS SAIs leaders introduced respectively their experience and practice on the theme of “Citizen Engagement in Public Sector Audit”. Zhang Ke said that the National Audit Office of China has been firmly practicing the concept of whole-process people’s democracy, and strengthening audit-based oversight to ensure the principle of the people being masters of the country is manifested in the governance policies and measures.
